The Long Border 

Celebrating the flower borders at Scampston Hall Walled Garden in summertime. This textured work can be touched as the frame is open. 

Handcrafted felt using the wet felting technique with Merino wool fibres and silk . Finished using free motion machine embroidery and hand stitching.

Actual work size 13 x 13 cm. Many hours goes into producing a piece of work.

The Long Border  has been professionally framed in a bespoke white washed St Ives frame. I am proud to use wooden frames that come from an FSC certified forest. 'FSC  - certified forests are managed with consideration for people, wildlife and the environment.'

The picture has been mounted onto board and set beneath the St Ives frame, this style of frame is open, unglazed so can be touched, with fixings ready to hang. 

An authentication label is attached to the reverse of the picture, which I have signed.
