Unique, original abstract art! 

For those who want a  stitch kit that no one else will have! A one off piece of hand crafted felt. Only one piece of felt will be made to this colour and design, it will not be repeated. Threads have been chosen to compliment the felt work. Not repeatable.

The kit contains a unique handcrafted original piece of felt made by Lynn Comley. The felt has been made using the wet felting technique with merino wool and silk fibres to create a unique piece of textile art.

Each piece of felt has its own characteristics, one of the lovely things about felt! 

The photograph shows the exact piece of felt you will receive. (I only include felt work that I would be happy to complete myself with embroidery).  The felt is approximately 21 x 15 cm.

The kit intentionally does not have a pattern to follow. It does however include a guidance sheet with suggested stitches that you could use, along with useful tips. The purpose being for you to express yourself using needle and thread to create your own design. This could be formal embroidery stitches, free motion machine embroidery  or simple mark making using basic stitches. You could add ribbon work or beads from your own stash, the possibilities are endless. 

Stitching freely without a formal step by step pattern is both relaxing and creative, there is no right or wrong, let the needle and thread take you on a journey. 

Felted wool is a wonderful fabric to stitch into. I hope this kit will encourage you to explore the use of handcrafted felt in future embroidery projects.

Carefully chosen thread pack as shown in the photo contains: 

DMC six strand cotton threads x3 colours (18  meters)

Cotton perle 6 meters 

Wool yarn threads x2 colours. (Approx 20 meters) 

Chenille needle

This is a one off, original kit, not to be repeated. 

Pack contents as photographs.  I always include plenty of threads as you may wish to add more stitches than I usually do!
